We would like to express our gratitude towards NORD and Parks & Parkways for aiding us in the cutback of 3.35 acres of bioswales on the Greenway. These bioswales help collect stormwater and allow rain to drain slowly back into the soil, helping to mitigate flooding in the surrounding neighborhoods.

We'd also like to thank our friends over at Benton Tree Service for helping us trim the pesky willow tree branches that hung low over the trail.

These cutbacks allow city crews to improve the maintenance of the Greenway, provide new opportunities for green infrastructure, and give Greenway users a clearer sightline while walking & biking to their destinations. Thanks again to these helpful and hardworking organizations for keeping the Greenway a safe and vibrant space for all.
