MORE RECREATION & CULTURAL PROGRAMMING COMING TO THE GREENWAY!

We are thrilled and honored to announce that Friends of Lafitte Greenway received support from the New Orleans City Council Recreation and Culture Fund to support and expand our recreational and cultural programming on the Greenway in 2024.

We would especially like to thank Councilmembers J.P. Morrell, Eugene Green, and Joe Giarrusso for their leadership and support.  

This grant will help us continue our partnership with NORD to provide wonderful, year-round programming for families and children like Movies in the Park, Easter Eggstravaganza, and Halloween Spooktacular.

It will also allow us to expand our cultural programming such as musical events in the Greenway Plaza and theatrical performances in the Greenway Station, and to expand our recreational programming with NORD.

We can’t wait to bring these programs to the Greenway in 2024– and please make sure to thank Councilmembers J.P. Morrell, Eugene Green, and Joe Giarrusso for being incredible Greenway Champions!
