Tree Planting with SOUL and Friends of Lafitte Greenway

Join us on as we partner with SOUL (Sustaining our Urban Landscape) to plant the next 100 trees on the Greenway. We have a goal to plant 1,000 Cypress trees as part of our Greenway Grow! Campaign and currently have planted 300 trees along the trail. Volunteer with the Greenway to help us to continue this amazing project.

A Day On Not a Day Off

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. day, we held a day of service on the Greenway in partnership with NORD. Over 100 volunteers dedicated their time as we mulched the cypress trees along the trail, picked up litter, and painted final touches on the Shine Together basketball court mural. Thank you to everyone that helped out to keep the Greenway healthy and beautiful.

Supernova 2022

Thank you to our sponsors, community partners, and of course, the 7,000 attendees that made all three nights of Supernova shine! It was our goal to have a bigger and better Supernova and with your help, we were able to do just that. We appreciate you all for supporting the Greenway.

Crescent City Farmers Market

Have you had time to stop by the Crescent City Farmers Market this season? Every Thursday from 3-6pm, you can purchase goods from local vendors at the Greenway Plaza. Those with SNAP benefits can also receive an unlimited market match allowing each dollar spent to be matched with tokens that can be used to purchase produce at the market. 

Lafitte Greenway Annual Meeting

The Greenway is hosting our annual meeting where we will elect new members to our Board of Directors, review accomplishments from 2022, and discuss what’s to come for the Greenway in 2023. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions of the Greenway team about any upcoming projects and programs.
