supernova star business program

Program Goal: To drive foot-traffic to local businesses through marketing and co-promotion this December. Year in and year out, local businesses are the Greenway’s greatest champions and supporters. We want you to thrive.

What is Supernova?

Supernova is a free, light-based, public art exhibit on the Greenway this December, designed to inspire joy and wonder, drive foot-traffic to local businesses, and safely celebrate the Greenway’s 5th birthday in the midst of COVID-19.

Become a Supernova Star Business

You’re invited to partner with the Supernova and share in the successes of this spectacular exhibit by becoming a Star Business-- offering a special deal for Supernova supporters who bring doubluminary tokens from December 1, 2020 through January 15, 2021.

Here’s how it works.

  • Friends of Lafitte Greenway collects donations from businesses, philanthropic organizations, and individuals to support the Greenway’s growth in 2021.
  • Supporters receive a set amount of Doubluminary tokens to exchange for exclusive perks at Star Businesses. We expect to distribute about 1,000 doubluminaries.
  • Supporters of the Supernova come to your business and exchange doubluminaries for the special offer you choose (examples: complimentary appetizer/dessert/side with your entree, buy 2 get 1 free specialty cocktails, free patch kit with your bike tune up or purchase, etc.).
  • Together, we generate support for the Greenway, and for the businesses that make it thrive!
