The Mystic Krewe of Nyx and NORD have announced exciting plans to work together to build NORD's first three inclusive playgrounds. These new playgrounds--safe and accessible to people of all ability levels--are proposed for the Mid-City, New Orleans East, and Algiers neighborhoods.
NORD and the Mystic Krewe of Nyx have identified the Lafitte Greenway, between Bayou St. John and N. Broad Street, as a zone to locate the Mid-City inclusive playground. The Lafitte Greenway is a 2.6-mile trail and linear park, used by over 300,000 New Orleanians each year for transportation and recreation.
Please join us for a community meeting to share your input on the Mid-City inclusive playground project. Representatives from NORD, and the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Engagement will be present to lead and present important information to the community during this public meeting.
