A splash of color has revived a key stop along the Lafitte Greenway in Mid-City. Mural artist Kevin Duncan hopes the walls outside of the Lemann Pool have become a conversation starter, leading bikers to pause and look and neighbors drinking coffee on their porches to pay attention.

Duncan wanted his mural to capture the spirit of the city. His project is supported by Mayor Mitch Landrieu’s citywide initiative called The Welcome Table New Orleans. The initiative was set up in 2014 to focus on race and reconciliation and bringing communities together.
