Carnival season has begun, and with it, parades and festivities in our streets. “How can bicyclists and drivers share the road to Carnival safely?” here are some tips and tricks you can follow to ensure for a much safer carnival!
- Plan your route.
- Ride with traffic.
- Install front and rear lights.
- Lock your bike in a safe spot and be courteous.
For Drivers:
- Treat bicycles as you would another car. It’s illegal for people to bike on sidewalks, so be sure to share the road and stop for bicycles crossing your path.
- Be considerate - and give ample space (at least 3 feet).
- Never drink and drive.
