April 11, 7:55 AM Weather Update: The Volunteer Cleanup is happening this morning. Light rain should pass before we get started.

Cleanup the Lafitte Corridor with Friends of Lafitte Corridor, NOLA Trash Mob, and the LSU School of Public Health!

We will focus the cleanup on the Tremé/Lafitte neighborhood, starting at the Sojourner Truth Neighborhood Center.

Supplies: Trash and recycling bags, gloves, a limited number of grabbers and orange vests will be provided.

We are proud to partner with NOLA Trash Mob, an all-volunteer litter-fighting group that has picked up over 9 tons of trash from New Orleans' streets in the past two years on weekly mobs.

Snacks and drinks will be provided, thanks to Mid-City Market.
